Airlift
is Available to Minister at Your Church...

A Professional Bio:

Paul is a 1973 graduate of Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA. He majored in Religion, with a strong minor in Social Work. While at APU he earned Academic Scholarships, and graduated with a 3.88 GPA. He also graduated from the National Executive Institute in Dallas, TX. NEI was a mandatory training course of the Boy Scouts of America, and was equivalent to getting a Graduate Level Certificate in Business Management. While at the NEI program, Paul was elected by his peers to serve as Class President for the second half of the training course.

Besides serving as Associate and Senior Pastor at several churches over the years, Paul was ordained as a Southern Baptist Minister in 1985. He still holds his ordination with the Southern Baptist Churches of America. Recently the Lord used several prestigious institutions to honor Paul for his life time work with community groups that provided services to children, teens and their families.

For his life long achievements with youth he was included in Gibraltar's International Edition of Who's Who for the year 1997; Marquis’s Who's Who in the West: Who's Who in America; Who's Who in Business and Management; Who's Who in the World; and Who's Who in Education and Professional Management since 1998 (to the present). In 2001 Strathmore's included Paul in there annual Who's Who.

He also received community recognition from the Grand Island School District, Riverside County Office of Education (Child Advocate of the Year), Riverside County Department of Health, and the Riverside County Council of Child Care Providers for his work with their programs and service to children and youth.

Shelly is quite accomplished too, holding a copyright for the lyrics she wrote; and a US Patent for a plastic lid holder that holds lids on soft drink cups which prevents spilling. It allows people to carry the cup by slipping their finger(s) under one of the 3 straps going across the lid. It is a very neat and highly useful invention, and we are still looking for ways to get it into the market place. So we'd appreciate your prayers.

Both Paul and Shelly hold many awards of recognition which make them an accomplished couple who are well prepared to serve the Lord.

 Our Musical Beginnings...

Airlift Music Ministry started out as an idea of Shelly, my wife. She was following the lead of the Holy Spirit as she kept encouraging me to help her rewrite the lyrics of secular rock-and-roll songs from the 60's and 70's with words that glorified Jesus. Her persistence led to the "birth" of Airlift.

Shelly and I have been writing and performing for more than 23 years now. And with each concert/ministry date we continue to fine tune our songs and performance through prayer and practice to bless those we minister to. The ministry has been described as being: "filled with the energy of the Holy Spirit, and anointed of God."

Each song seems to break down the defensive barriers of the listener while preparing the hearts of those listening to Airlift's unique approach to music for his dynamic testimony. Over and over again, church leaders comment about Paul's transparency which has a solid spiritual effect on everyone attending a concert.

Paul's ability to candidly share how God personally delivered him from sexual addiction and restored him to the ministry. Each ministry/concert has spiritual restoration as its roots, and the result is changed lives.

A "Rock" Solid History...

Prior to receiving Jesus Christ as His personal Savior (on Christmas Eve 1966), Paul could always be found jamming or performing rock-and-roll music. He started several bands while attending Mt. San Antonio Community College in the mid 60's, and was privileged to have Ron Wilson of the Surfaris (Drummer on the record of the top ten hit "Wipeout") sit in on several gigs.

When Paul first started singing Gospel music, his group "Rapture" was blessed to have a full-time drummer who played studio drums with such groups as the Monkees, Boyce and Hart, and Mary Wells. This drummer recorded on several top songs, including Mary Wells "My Guy."

Over the years, Paul and Shelly have been privileged to open up for Pat and Shirley Boone and Rosie Greir. Paul fondly remembers Rosie, because he always asked them to sing  "Splish-Splash."
